There's no fan like a Pokémon fan.

The Pokémon franchise has been a mainstay of youth entertainment for more than 18 years, but until they started to work with Ratio, access to their animation content was limited to TV and the Pokémon website. They wanted their animated series to reach a new, younger audience by using Android applications that could reach millions of loyal fans worldwide. Ratio designed an elegant user experience that reflected the Pokémon brand and let viewers quickly and easily discover and play content. Then we developed Pokémon TV applications with that user experience for Android phone and tablet devices. We made it easy for Pokémon to manage content regionally by localizing the apps for five languages. And we made it easy to handle cross-platform administration by integrating the apps with their existing online video platform which they share with the Pokémon website.

We demolished the target KPIs.

The apps we built are engaging, intuitive, and provide a rich array of content, making the Pokémon brand available to new audiences. And since the February 2013 launch, Pokémon TV has been one of the most downloaded apps on Google Play and maintains a 4.5 star rating on this platform.
